The Return of the TE37

dura_555Two years back Rays Engineering showed a TE37 prototype featuring machined spokes which made the 22×9 wheel only 17 pounds. After some adjustments Rays settled on the new TE037 DURA which is a little more extreme than the original prototype. Big note to point out is that this new TE037 is constructed from A7075 versus A6061, which makes it that much better. All in all expect the TE037 to make a lot of waves.

2015 saw the emergence of the TE37 ULTRA, probably the closest iteration to the original TE37 since it was released 20 years back. While 20 and 19 inch sizes got the new treatment, 18’s were left out. saga_557Enter TE37 SAGA, these are exclusively 18 inch and come in all the sizes under the sun. And best of all this is pretty darn close to the OG model and comes standard with a Bronze finish. Pictures and full details are still up in the air, but expect more info this upcoming week!

Player 2 (Weds Wheels) Has Entered

Weds Wheels has been quietly building up quite the arsenal in it’s performance wheel line-up. To this day the TC-105N is the lightest cast wheel in the market (topping the all mighty Enkei RPF1), however their entire line-up featured Flow Formed Cast wheels only. This kept them out of certain high-end performance markets with the lack of forged options. 15874781_1332836920071537_7828604514629935141_oThis year that all changes, as WedsSport released the FT-117 (a Closed-Die Mold Form Forged wheel comparable to the likes of Rays and BBS). Sizing is currently slated for large performance vehicles, 20-inch sizing, but a forged wheel from WedsSports bodes well for future designs!

OG Volk TE37: Special Batch

20 years ago, RAYS Engineering debuted the original Volk Racing TE37 forged mono-block wheel. Little did they know this would become their flagship design and usher in an incessantly successful line of iterations; SL, RT, and ULTRA just to name a few.

However, despite all the in-house spin-offs and illegal imitations, the OG TE37 design still holds a certain je ne sais quoi that has never been replicated. Celebrate 20 years of success and own a set of iconic wheels with this limited run of 19-Inch TE37 Wheels!

We are working with Rays Engineering to produce 10 sets of 19-Inch staggered Original TE37 Wheels. The specifications are staggered: 19×9.5 +22 5×114.3 and 19×10.5 +12 5×114.3 (370Z / G37 specs) with max concavity on both sizes and a slightly larger lip in the rear. These are original factory specs and discontinued a few years back so we are the only source for these now!

5 Sets are spoken for so if you are interested please let us know! The order has already been placed so it’s not an if, but when they will arrive. These are currently scheduled for January/February but we are expecting to be sold out well before then!  So don’t wait!

TE37 Expansion

The TE37 has been a staple for Rays Engineering since its inception in the 90’s. Since then iteration have iteration have come to improve and modernize the great design. As such it comes as no surprise that Rays has just announced new wheels and sizes this week:

Designed exclusively for 16 inch with a 4×100 bolt pattern, these new TE37 use the modern logo engraving/etchings and ditch the spoke decals. They have been optimized in weight, strength, and performance for compact vehicles so expect them to be extremely popular with the New ND Roadster as well as the always popular Honda Fit. None of the sizes are instock yet but you can surely pre-order now! TE37 SONIC

19″ TE37 ULTRA:

After the extreme success of the TE37 ULTRA in the 20″ GT-R market, Rays is looking to expand this success into the 19″ market. The 19-inch sizing makes fitment more accessible for other vehicles such as the Nissan 370Z, Subaru WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Infiniti G37, Infiniti Q50, Nissan 350Z, Lexus IS350, Lexus RC350, BMW M3, BMW M4, Audi Applications, and Toyota Supra just to name a few. Pricing is not available yet but expect in on once it does become available!

One Bad Toyota 4 Runner

This may be the very first SUV on this blog lol. But this one is very deserved. New 2015 Super White Toyota 4Runner on 18 inch TE37 Large P.C.D. Progressive Model Wheels (engraved logo). On top of that it has an upgraded Rotora BBK and Project Kics R40s. Definitely one bad ass motha…

Sexy Ass 240SX

So I came across these pictures and I couldn’t resist but repost them. No details on all the mods, but I know the following:

  • TE37 Mercury Silver (17×9 fr & 18×9.5 rr)
  • Cusco Roll Cage (Unless it’s not)
  • Bride Bucket (Zeta III me thinks)
  • Turbo Kit of some sort (intercooler in the front gives it away)

The man responsible is Damon Young, which if you search him up you’ll see his car has been through several changes… but this in my opinion is his sexiest look. Good Job. Oh and to the owner if you read this: hope we didn’t post something you didn’t want and feel free to contact me if you want it down.
