The 4.8-liter V-10 Lexus LFA, rated at 552 horsepower and 354-pound-feet of torque, will be making its first debut @ Nürburgring 24 Endurance Race in May of this year as a production car according to Toyota. With previous misfortunes with the prototype versions in 2008 and 2009 at Nürburgring, Lexus will be coming strong this year with 2 refined LFA Racers. Mostly since the previous two years the prototypes were clearly used to refine performance for the final production car.
Toyota’s Racing partner, Gazoo Racing, will be prepping and running both cars at Nürburgring 24 this year like previously done. Toyota veteran test driver, Hiromu Naruse, will be leading the team; which composes of four Japanese and three German drivers who between them boast outstanding GT and endurance racing experience.
The races will take effect on May 13-16, 2010; so stay tune and see what these million dollar combined LF-A’s will do. We can’t wait to see what the results will be.
And if you’ve decided to pre-order one of these puppies late this year. You may do so with a mere $375,000 through your local Lexus dealership….After, there whole tedious lease process. 🙂 Click here for the awesome tease.
